SECTION 1. All applicants for membership as Active Members must be full or part-Hawaiian ancestry.
Membership in this organization shall be graded as follows:
(a) Active Members
(b) Associate Members
(c) Life Members
(d) Honorary Members
Active Members Any adult person of the age of 18 years or OVER, of Hawaiian
or Part-Hawaiian ancestry, of good moral character and of good standing in his/her community, is eligible for membership.
Active members shall have the privilege and right to vote on all questions, to hold office, to serve on committees, and to
take the floor and speak on all questions.
Associate Members: The spouse
of an active member who is of good moral character and of good standing in the community and who cannot qualify as to Hawaiian ancestry
is eligible for membership. Associate Members shall be subject to the same rules and regulations governing selection as Active
Members and shall have all the rights and privileges of Active Members with EXCEPTION of holding office.
Life Members: Life Membership
may be provided for any Active, Associate or Honorary Member in good standing, on a two-third vote of the Board of Directors
of the club, and upon payment of a fee of not less than $100.00. Life Members shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges
which they enjoyed in the categories under which they were formerly placed. Life Members shall pay no further dues.
Honorary Members: Honorary Memberships
may be conferred by a two-third vote of members present at a regular meeting of the club. This action may only be taken upon the recommendation
of the Board of Diretors of the club, and only upon such patrons and donors to the Hawaiian Civic Clubs have performed some special act of benevolence
towards the Association, or its members, and to any person in active sympathy with the objectives of this organization who shall have
rendered it good and substantial assistance or service. Honorary Members shall be exempted from paying dues or assessments, and they shall
enjoy all the rights and privileges accorded to Active Members, except the holding of office.
FEES & DUES
SECTION 2. The dues shall be Twenty
dollars ($20.00) per annum, and shall be payable in full. All dues shall be payable no later than the 1st day of the 5th month of the year.
MEETING SITE
SECTION 3. Wai`anae
Hawaiian Civic Club's principal office and headquarters shall be in Wai`anae, O`ahu, State of Hawaii. The club will meet regularly
on the 1st Tuesday of each quarter month. Should this day become a holiday, then meeting will be on the following Tuesday. Time
of meeting shall be at 6:30PM. Place of meeting will be determined by the President.
